Unlock Mobile
“Locking” a mobile phone is typically found in GSM networks. Mobile phone providers use special software to try and make you stick with their mobile service. The purpose for doing this is to try and lock the phone to only work with their SIM cards \ network.
Mobile phone companies are trying to prevent you from buying a new phone and using it with a different (often better) service.
Here comes the kicker… YOU CAN UNLOCK ALMOST ALL MOBILES!!
I find it quite unfair for provider to lock the phones. After all, you have BOUGHT the phone… it’s now your property. They don’t have any right to tell you how you can or can not use it.
More than likely it’s happened to you. A year after you’ve bought a new phone and want to switch to a better service you are told that ” your old phone wont work on X network because it’s locked”.
When we refer to ‘unlocking a mobile’ we are almost referring to using a data cable that’s been hooked up a a PC with special software on it. Usually you have to pay for someone to unlock your phone, but thanks to takt you can read through our guides and the directory to find tons of resources for unlocking.
